We never got to visit Saudi Arabia while living in the UAE, but once we moved to Qatar it was a must!
The visa process is very straightforward nowadays, but a bit pricy. You can only get 1 year visa, for about $142, or just a bit over a $100 if you are a GCC resident.
Saudi Arabia is massive, so we couldn’t see all and still have some places we would like to visit. Be prepared for a lot of driving on not so nice roads with a lot of crazy drivers!
It was our first Christmas living in Qatar and we fancied a road trip. Even though we “only” visited the southern part of SA, we finished driving at 5000 km!
We had a short holiday and wanted to go somewhere. However, we had issues with flights being cancelled, visas not issued, and so we used the opportunity to visit our neighbor.
